It is not uncommon to see flocks of geese in the air this time of year. I caught this picture just as a group of Snow geese was descending to join a flock already on the ground.
While Snow geese and Canadian geese are seldom seen in flight together they are often seen together on the ground, grazing in fields. Such is the case here. I could not capture the entire group as they pretty much spread out in a line and my lens was not wide enough. If you can imagine the group pictured times 5 that will give you an idea of the number of geese I encountered today.
Since you can't enjoy much detail I will tell you that the white spots are the Snow geese and the gray spots are Canadian geese. I sure wish you could see their beauty and hear their song. They are truly magnificent creatures. I really enjoyed my brief encounter with them today.

Migrating Geese
I love spring and fall. Besides having awesome weather the wildlife is abundant. We live on a migration route for Canadian geese and Snow geese, (among other things). I would love to be able to share some great pictures with you but when I try to take pictures with my little camera you can barely make out the subject. This holds true with the few pictures I took today. You will have to use your imagination to appreciate the splendor I was unable to capture.
